KPMG has been diving deep into the world of DeFi and recently announced that they had recently acquired some NFTs. They have bought digital art from the highly acclaimed “World of Women” collection.
Their crypto division has been acquiring digital assets in a buying spree as of now and are also expanding into Web3. Their head Kareem Sadek is bullish on Web3 and thinks that it will change how brands interact with customers.
The World of Women collection also known as “WoW” wants to help more women into the digital asset and NFT space. The main aim is to make the digital space much more inclusive of women and other people.
Launched in 2021 in the month of July their second release is scheduled for 2022. KPMG disclosed that they paid 25 ETH which is almost $70,000 for the digital art. They bought Woman #2681 which has the artwork of a wavy-haired, blue-skinned woman.
They say such purchases will encourage more women to get into the NFT and DeFi space. Earlier this month they also added cryptocurrencies to their treasury which they expect to grow in the future. They have not as of now disclosed the amount that they have invested but have said that it is mainly ETH and BTC that they have bought.
With more and more people and companies adding crypto to their portfolios, it is time that you added some too. With prices rising steadily, it is the best time to add some NFTs and crypto to your portfolio.
