Blockchain network launched by Infosys Public Services in California’s Riverside County

Infosys Public Services (IPS) is a subsidiary of Infosys based in the US that has finished its blockchain solution’s pilot. This Blockchain network has been designed for improving the access, security, and efficiency of important record-keeping in Riverside County. It is the fourth largest county in California and tenth largest in the United States.

With this blockchain network, Infosys will be able to enable county employees to securely and effectively manage their data. It will also ease access and lower the operations’ cost. Blockchain technology has offered the government a new opportunity to jump into the era of citizen-centered and secure services and advance its digital agenda.

The blockchain network has been developed using Amazon Managed Blockchain and in collaboration with AWS, Inc. It modernized the Riverside County’s Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder Office and transformed it from its paper-centric approach. By introducing blockchain technology, these offices have been enabled to store, retrieve, and recreate verifiable digital records and reduce the requirement for physical storage. Through this solution, citizens will not have more accurate and timely access to the records.

The goal of the Assessor-County Clerk-Recorder of Riverside Country is to provide recordkeeping, property valuation, and record issuance in a secure, cost-effective, and timely manner. By adopting blockchain technology, the offices can advance their digital transformation journey by a large leap. The blockchain solution will improve the efficiency and access of record-keeping in the country and help the employees manage the data effectively.
