BlockDown Festival: 3-day celebration of Web3, NFTs and metaverse

BlockDown Festival, to be held in Croatia in the month of May, will for the first time have NFTs as the core of the three-day event. This festival is regarded as the celebration of Web3, NFTs, and metaverse. Crypto enthusiasts can take advantage of live music, discussions and debates, parties, and informative panels. The festival organizers will be creating an immersive experience.

V Ray, the creative mastermind designing the venue and experiences, sees non-fungible tokens as an amazing way to build communities. He says it unites multiple industries of talent with a common interest. Ray highlighted that many artists have been exploring NFTs as a new spotlight to share their work.

BlockDown Festival Croatia 2022 is the seventh event. It was founded in April 2020 at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was initiated to bring the blockchain and cryptocurrency community together. Since then, the event and its festivals have gained pace and momentum.

It was recently held in December. Some of the topics explored were data ownership, personal information security, Web3, and self-governance. It also featured a discussion between Gavin Wood, the founder of Polkadot, and whistleblower Edward Snowden.

Set to be held in May, BlockDown Festival wants to collaborate with performance artists, augmented/virtual reality designers, mixed media artists, digital artists/NFT creators, and sculptors. Selected creators will get the golden opportunity to showcase their work in front of the world of Web3, NFT, and metaverse…a strong community of 3,000+.
