Rolling Stone, the US magazine focused on music, popular culture and politics, has announced the Rolling Stone Live event after a gap of two years. The publication announced this event marks its first partnership with Coinbase. Both firms plan to drop exclusive NFTs to mark this event.
The Event Will Be Presented by CoinBase
This year’s live event of Rolling Stone is being presented by Coinbase. It will feature limited edition art NFTs created by 12 prominent digital artists. The NFTs will be dropped in the blockchain. The publication stated that artists had been asked to create art NFTs that represents the logo of Rolling Stone. Some of the names who will craft these digital arts include Boss Beauties, Elise Swopes, Deadfellaz, Mikegrillmadeit, Domino, Markthehabibi, Giant Swan, Mister Goldie, Alida Sun, Emonee LaRussa and Jeff Manning.
The Beginning of a Long-Term Partnership
The magazine describes this event as the beginning of its long-term partnership with Coinbase. It has plans to animate the artworks before offering them to the buyers through the Coinbase NFT marketplace. Fans will have a great event where they can own a part of the history. They can buy the artworks created by well-known digital artists.
This initiative is not the first time Rolling Stone has experimented with NFTs. It had partnered with BAYC for the Bored Ape NFT project in 2021. A special edition zine for collectors had been issued. Boss Beauties CEO and founder Lisa Mayer said that the idea of contributing to this NFT collection is exciting and an opportunity for her team. She said the opportunity to partner with this iconic magazine and the new-age platform Coinbase is inspiring. It is an honor to be included with other prominent creators, Lisa added.
