According to online news sources, the Commercial Bank of Dubai (CBD) is reportedly going to host an NFT art exhibition. As per the announcement made on December 27, the Commercial Bank of Dubai has partnered with an NFT-based artist from Dubai, Amrita Sethi, for holding the exhibition. The NFT art exhibition will be held in the digital lab of the Dubai International Financial Centre.
The exhibition will explore the evolution of the bank in the past 50 years in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The story will start from the history of the Deira Clock Tower and will then move on to how the history of the tower ties to the history of the headquarters of the CDB. The exhibition will focus on how the Commercial Bank of Dubai has remained a leader in innovation across the region. The exhibition will also come with an augmented reality feature. For enjoying this feature, all the visitors would have to do is scan the QR code which is embedded in the pieces of art. Each Amrita Sethi limited-edition artwork would come with a non-fungible token which will be a digital twin of the artwork.
The CEO of Commercial Bank of Dubai, Bernd van Linder, said during an interview recently that the bank is excited to host this unique NFT art exhibition. He added that through this exhibition, the bank will celebrate the historic Golden Jubilee of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The parallel growth of the Commercial Bank of Dubai will also be showcased through the exhibition. He believes that the exhibition will highlight how the bank has supported UAE in its journey of growth in the past 50 years.
