On 8 August 2021, a partnership was announced between Comviva Technologies and Route Mobile, which will be working towards providing blockchain-based solutions for global telecom operators. According to the news sources, Route Mobile will be using the TRAI-backed Distributed Ledger Technology system of Comviva to help the telecom companies in mitigating unsolicited commercial communication. Besides this, it will also ensure the adherence to regulations, better governance and creation of new avenues for monetization.
The DLT-based solution offered by Comviva will bring all the concerned parties on the blockchain, which will help telecom operators and telemarketers manage many of the issues. Some of these include-

· Onboarding of stakeholder
· Handling of complaints
· Managing preference registration
· Scrubbing service
· Registration of template and headers
· Tracking
Route Mobile has direct connectivity with more than 260 telecom companies all over the world. It has a strong presence in the South-East Asian region, besides the Middle-East, Americas and Europe. Because of its reach around the world and its substantial communication infrastructure capability, it will allow for the scaling of Blockchain technology globally.
The managing director and CEO of Route Mobile Limited, Rajdipkumar Gupta, recently said in an interview that the data privacy and advanced security features of the blockchain technology offers a range of possibilities for many organizations. He went on to say that with the addition of Comviva’s Distributed Ledger Technology system, Route Mobile will now be able to provide telcos with a more secured environment, which will eventually increase their revenue yield.
