The Crypto.com platform airdropped NFT collection “The Moment of Truth”, featuring LeBron James, the forward of LA Lakers. The NFTs are available to 5550 viewers randomly selected through its commercial at Super Bowl. Those who were able to find and scan the hidden QR code in the commercial are eligible to win this limited edition nonfungible token.
The QR code appeared during the commercial that shows James talking to a teenage self of him. The NFT collection includes several snapshots showing behind the scene moments during the making of Big Game commercial.
The QR code appeared during the commercial for less than a second. The code took the viewers to a webpage where they can sign up with the NFT platform of Crypto.com. Those who are lucky will have access to 5500 airdropped NFTs without paying anything. The airdropped collection includes 15 NFTs available at three levels with different additions.
The Crypto.com is partnering with James and LJFF (LeBron James Family Foundation) for this project. The goal is to work on vocational and educational opportunities related to Web 3. This partnership allows students in Akron, Ohio, the hometown of LeBron James to access resources and tools that help them learn more about blockchain and explore career opportunities in crypto.
These NFTs will not be available for sale at Crypto.com. The 5% proceeds of NFT any resale will be given as royalties to the foundation. The sales can be conducted at Crypto.com or any other platform.
