Crypto companies leverage on Bitcoin 2022 Conference to network, pitch ideas

Thousands of crypto enthusiasts and companies have gathered in Miami, US, for the Bitcoin 2022 Conference to network, pitch ideas, and share announcements. Enthusiasts applauded Miami’s welcoming environment. Mayor Francis Suarez, who is emerging as one of America’s crypto-friendly mayors, has lured tech investment to the coastal metropolis.

Suarez unveiled an 11-foot, 3,000-pound statue of a bull inspired by the iconic Wall Street bull. But the statue has “Bitcoin laser eyes and other ultramodern robotic” features. The Miami mayor described the statue as a symbolic and powerful addition to the city that helped prove that the future of finance is here, and in Miami.

Analysts highlight Miami and Florida as business-friendly as they remained open during the COVID-19 pandemic. This made it more attractive as a location and destination where people could work remotely. Peter Smith, Blockchain.com CEO and co-founder, said it’s possible to move to a place where you can buy a house and see the sunshine every day.

Bitcoin 2022 organizers highlighted that at least 75 companies will make announcements at the three-day conference running Wednesday through Friday. It should be noted that El Salvador President Nayib Bukele unveiled, through a video, that his country would be the first to make cryptocurrency (Bitcoin) legal tender in 2021. He is expected to make an appearance at the conference this year.

Jack Mallers, the CEO of Strike – Bitcoin payment app, will make one of the most anticipated announcements. He is said to have worked with the El Salvador government on the nationwide Bitcoin launch. Mallers also partnered with Twitter to synchronize his app in an effort to make it possible to send digital money as tips.

Speakers to grace the Bitcoin 2022 Conference include Gawker-killer Peter Thiel, Aaron Rodgers, and Jordan Peterson among others.
