Jerome Baker Designs, a glass pipe manufacturer based in Las Vegas, is launching a set of NFTs related to some unique bongs. These NFTs being launched next month will also be related to physical assets. The NFTs will be hosted on ethereum based FDCTech platform. The nonfungible tokens represent the special glassblowing process corresponding to each bong. They will be available with many other unique benefits. The tokens will be dropped on Sunday, February 13, during the Super Bowl, while the physical bongs corresponding to these tokens will be auctioned at the NFT exclusive Superchief Gallery.
The people behind the project
Jason Harris is the president and founder of Jerome company. SLX, the smoking product marketplace, has placed him among the top 10 glassblowers of the world. He established the company in the early 1990s. Over the years, he has made customized pieces for several celebrities, including Snoop Dogg, Grateful Dead, George Clooney, Bita Marley, and Santana. He sees lots of opportunity in this new crypto-connected digital art world. According to him, artists have always faced problems when it comes to authenticating their artwork. NFTs solve this problem and provide a certificate and proof of authenticity. It creates long-term value for the artist.
The uniqueness of glassblowing
According to Jason, other art forms like paintings can be copied or replicated, but glassworks made with the glassblowing technique can never be replicated. With NFT, each glasswork will have a documentary record of its creation. It will provide a foolproof authentication certificate and benefit both the artist and the buyer.
Bong NFT owners will get real-world advantages like glassblowing classes. They can visit the Jerome company’s Dream Factory in Las Vegas.
