Vitalik Buterin, the Ethereum co-founder, has advised traders to focus on Ethereum’s technology rather than the price. This comes after a self-described crypto investor CoinMamba shared on Twitter that investors are feeling exhausted. He said he wants to move on and do something different with life. The investor expressed disappointment in the crypto space’s scammers and fraudsters.
Buterin took it upon himself to help combat negativity in the crypto industry. 2022 has been one of the worst years for the digital assets space. The collapse of TerraLUNA’s algorithmic stablecoin and the latest FTX fall resulted in contagion leading to the bankruptcy of several crypto firms, including Three Arrows Capital (3AC) and BlockFi among others.
The Ethereum co-founder recommended increasing distance from trading and investing circles and getting closer to the tech and application ecosystem. He urged investors to learn about ZK-SNARKS, visit a meetup in Latin America, listens to all Core Devs calls, and read the notes until they have memorized all the EIP numbers.
Anthony Sassano, the Ether bull and host of The Daily Gwei, agreed to say that the bear market is the perfect time to shift away from market watching and learn more about the tech. He said there is much more signal than noise and the tech side is so much more exciting than the markets. It should be noted that Ethereum has given investors plenty to focus on in 2022 – the completion of the much-awaited Merge on September 15 which took the network from a proof-of-work to a proof-of-stake consensus. Buterin added a new category of milestones to the Ethereum technical roadmap to improve censorship resistance and decentralization of its network.
