Ethereum developers focus on privacy and users at ETHSeoul.

Buidl Asia provides a forum for the Ethereum community to connect and discuss technological developments, issues, and solutions.

KryptoSeoul, the driving force behind Buidl Asia, organized various events as part of its 2022 BUIDL week. They joined hands with Dystopia Labs and Ludium to host ETHSeoul Hackathon.

ETHSeoul had an IRL conference between the 5 to 7th of August’22, followed by a virtual event that began on the 8th and concluded on the 13th of August.

Starting off the event, Vitalik Buterin from the Ethereum Foundation shared a few ideas on what the developer network can focus on building. This first session was specifically for the hackers.

The other speakers at the conference shared the extensive work that the companies or platforms that they represented have undertaken. They also covered how their solutions correlate to the overall themes of the conference.

The focus of the in-person leg of the event was mainly on inclusion and protecting the privacy of the crypto community through better governance measures.

Key aspects touched upon were:

· Use cases for quadratic funding, building ZK applications, and financial inclusion

· User experience and security being key to the mass adoption of Web3

· Building applications that keep the users’ needs in mind, where there is greater data control and governance in the users’ hands.

Making the users central to any product or service that’s being built, security, and scalability – all emerged as the main focal takeaways of ETHSeoul 2022.

These interactive discussions were followed by the virtual Hackathon.
