For 8,000 ETH ($23 million), this CryptoPunks NFT was sold.

CryptoPunks is one of the earliest NFT collections in the market. This collection emerged in 2017, there was not much internet in the space at the time. But now, they are believed to be one of the most high-priced non-fungible tokens.

There is a huge collection of about 10,000 innovatively generated tokenized, human art images, zombies, apes, animals, etc.

Deepak Thapliyal, Chief Executive Officer of Chain, bought the brand new CryptoPunks. Deepak Thapliyal broke this news on his Twitter account. The information at hand says he bought the CryptoPunks for 8,000 ETH, roughly around $23 million.

He also provided more information regarding the transaction and revealed that he bought the digital art by leveraging his compound finance. CryptoPunks NFT has set another record for itself. To add further Thapliyal’s CryptoPunk #5822 is considered to be an alien since there are only 9 out of 10,000 such NFT pieces in the non-fungible token collections.

He also purchased a limited Mutant Ape Yacht Club NFT and paid $5.8 million back in January. This year, in the beginning, CryptoPunk #5822 was one of the 333 artworks In the non-fungible token project to wear a bandana.

However, this has happened before where CryptoPunks NFT had attracted a high amount of dollars. The previous year, DraftKing’s Shalom Meckenzie had paid $11.8 million to buy one NFT collection at a Sotheby auction.

According to DappRadar, a blockchain tracking firm, cryptoPunk NFT projects settled up to $2.61 billion in trading in their lifetime. And around $163.07 million was made in the last 30 days.
