Hyundai Motor introduces NFT membership program for its “Electrified Streamliner”.

Hyundai Motor has come up with IONIQ Citizenship – a utility package for holders of the IONIQ 6 NFT Collection. This is the second official NFT collection issued by Hyundai Motor to date. It offers new experiences and value to Millennial and Gen Z consumers.

The NFT collection is based on personalized customer experiences that drivers and passengers can look forward to with Hyundai’s new “Electrified Streamliner”. The automobile maker intends to expand IONIQ 6’s electrified experience in digital space. The new NFT membership program IONIQ Citizenship aims to expand the realm of unique electrified customer experiences provided by the IONIQ line-up to the digital space that has no physical limitations.

It provides exclusive access to digital spaces, special digital content and physical items related to IONIQ 6 are included. Moreover, the innovative IONIQ 6 experiences will be expanded through partnerships, such as virtual fashion items giveaways and exclusive VIP access on Planet Hyundai. NFT holders will benefit from Hyundai Motor’s virtual space that opened on ZEPETO, the global metaverse platform in collaboration with Naver Z on July 14. There are opportunities to redeem a gift card for a physical custom phone case from NFTYC – the world’s first NFT phone case manufacturer. The company also offers an interactive space for the holder of the exclusive event IONIQ Digital Garage for NFT holders.

Hyundai Motor issued 5,000 IONIQ 6 NFTs in six different themes – including Stress-Free Driving, Fun Driving, Healing, and Entertainment, as well as Socializing. Each NFT has unique art, which has been created in a generative format that integrates various backgrounds, exterior colors, and objects that can result in tens of thousands of combinations. The NFT backgrounds show IONIQ’s mindful interior space. It has drawn inspiration from newly-implemented Dual Color Ambient Lighting. The IONIQ 6 emphasizes the futuristic design of the IONIQ identity.

Thomas Schemera, executive vice president, global chief marketing officer, and head of the customer experience division, Hyundai Motor Company, said the automobile maker has continuously explored new methods to connect and involve customers. He described IONIQ 6 NFT Collection as a meaningful endeavor to expand the boundary of NFTs from simple investment and possession to experiences and storytelling. Hyundai Motor hopes to enhance its connection with customers and interact in a more innovative way, this time through the unique value of the IONIQ line-up.
