Iran will accept cryptocurrency payments for foreign trade

The recent report from Mehr News Agency, reveals that the Ministry of Trade along with the Central Bank of Iran or CBI will allow crypto payments internationally. This is good news for importers and exporters as international trade in crypto will be now allowed. From now on, the CBI’s payment portal will be linked with a trading system allowing crypto trade. The revelation regarding the time in which two platforms will get linked is made by the deputy minister of Industry.

The deputy minister of Industry, Alireza Peyman-Pak mentioned that the entire process of linking these two platforms is a matter of two weeks or so. He also brings to notice that economic and business growth opportunities in the field of cryptocurrencies will not be compromised. The government will consider it their priority and all the economic actors will be able to use it effectively. The connectivity between the system will allow small merchants and local businesses to make payments internationally using digital currency.

Peyman Pak took social media to reveal the news and mention the highlights of their first meeting with a joint foreign exchange. Most of the members of the meeting approve the provision of different measures required for Iran’s foreign crypto exchange. Additionally, there was a report which confirms that the entire plan will be revealed in the next few weeks. Also, it is been noted that the Central Bank Of Iran initiated and came with the proposal of adopting cryptocurrency.
