Kucoin became one of the early adopters of web3 and now has a decentralized wallet on it. It also features DeFi and NFT functionality along with cross-blockchain trading. With Web3 gaining momentum it is only time before other coins also join the space.
The cross-blockchain integration will give you access to trading ETH, BTC, and UST and also a lot of other tokens. And the best part is that the wallet as of now is self-custodial. This means you get full responsibility and control over your private keys.
In some time Kucoin’s Wallet will also contain GameFi, NFT, and DeFi services. Their own proprietary marketplace Windvane already has been launched with full functionality, You can view and trade NFTs with the Kucoin Wallet. They also unveiled their $100 million investment called the “Creator’s Fund” in the month of April itself. They say that the fund will help build NFT projects on the platform and boost their own NFT ecosystem.
In 2022 they were able to bag a $150 million investment just before their B round funding. The firm itself was valued at $10 billion and will use it to fund their Web3 ventures.
With non-custodial, cross-blockchain wallets becoming the norm other wallets will have to adapt soon to take advantage of the Web3 momentum. In May 2022, Coinbase launched a browser and a wallet with Web3 capabilities for a select few of their clients. With Beta testing for Web3 being in full swing, it is the best time to be involved in it and become an early adopter.
