According to online news sources, the hardware wallet company Ledger is reportedly going to launch its own debit. This card would be connected directly to a cryptocurrency wallet. The debit card is going to be named the Crypto Life card. The plan to introduce this debit card was announced at the Ledger Open conference, which is being held in Paris on December 9 and 10, 2021.
The design of this ledger debit card has been developed by Baanx. Initially, it will be available for users in the United Kingdom, and the launch for Germany and France is decided for some time around early 2022. The users in the United States will be able to get their hands on the Crypto Life card in the second quarter of 2022. Once users receive the card, they will be able to top up the card with ETH, BTC, EURT, USDT, XRP, BCH, BXX, or LTC through the Ledger Live app. When the Crypto Life card is used for any transaction, the cryptocurrencies loaded on the card will be converted into the fiat amount of the purchase.
The company is most well-known for its cold hardware wallets, however, lately, it has also started work on the software, which will be called Ledger Live. The Ledger Live application, which will be available on both mobile and desktop, allows users to send and receive digital assets. In addition to this, Ledger Live will also allow buying and selling of crypto assets with third-party company integrations. Besides this, Ledger Live will support swaps and staking through different partners like Wyre, Changelly, ParaSwap, and 1inch.
