Lindsay Lohan is the latest Hollywood celebrity to have stepped into the non-fungible token space. The Mean Girls actress is set to launch experimental NFTs on Superfandom. She will also serve as an adviser for the platform.
NFTs have become a buzzword and have attracted the popular masses in the entertainment and pop culture industry. NFT artworks are sold for millions. It has become a virtual/digital asset overnight. And now, American celebrity Lindsay Lohan is offering experimental NFTs. These experimental non-fungible tokens offer special utility for holders and allow fans to interact with the celebrity and get special access too.
Superfandom, a subsidiary of Rare Sense, is built on the Stacks Blockchain. It has been specially designed for celebrities who want to cash in on their fame. And fans, via these NFTs, can get special access to their stars. A number of celebrities, such as Jake Busey, Riya Sen, Richard Karn, and Jubin Nautiyal are part of the platform. Lindsay Lohan is considered as “one of the biggest stars” to join Superfandom so far. She will help the platform gain more celebrities and artists.
Sophia Pervez, CSO, said the experimental NFTs are not the typical Bored Panda type of art NFT. She explained that it’s suitable for creators because digital art NFTs are great if the person is “an artist”. But what if the person is an actor or a chef. Pervez said the platform would go live within the next few weeks. Fans would be able to buy their very own experimental NFTs.
Superfandom wants to get a secondary market out as fans will not be eligible for a second chance or a repeat of the experiences. The platform wants to enable experimental NFTs to be resold. This will help a new owner or a fan share the experience.
