NFTs are the craze in 2021, and recently got the award of the ‘Word of the Year’ from Collins Dictionary. Celebrities, entrepreneurs, sporting organizations, and creators are launching their own NFT collections, which are selling for a high price. The latest celebrity to announce an NFT collection is the legendary rapper and frontman of Linkin Park, Mike Shinoda.
Shinoda is among the most loved artists in the world, and his long-time association with Linkin Park has made him a household name in the United States and other parts of the world. As a result, it is estimated that his NFT collection will sell for exorbitantly high prices. However, Shinoda’s generative NFT series will be different from other NFTs. It will be a collection of mini mixtapes and album arts in the form of non-fungible tokens. He will be releasing 5000 of these NFTs in partnership with NFT marketplace Tezos called Ziggurats. It will be a unique collection of musical NFTs with cover art and many unique features.
Along with the NFT release, the songs will also be available on streaming platforms. The price of each item is estimated to be around $75 at the present rate of conversion. Shinoda’s NFT collection will give a huge boost to Tezos, as many people previously not interested in NFTs would also want to see their favorite artist’s collection. The exact date of the launch is not yet finalized, but we can expect the launch within the next few weeks.
