According to the online news sources, the My Cavs Locker NFT is going to be launched a day before the Indiana Pacers vs Cleveland Cavaliers game, on 6 February 2022. The fans who will be attending the game will get the opportunity to claim the first My Cavs Locker NFT. This NFT will be a digitized t-shirt that can be displayed in the My Cavs Locker. The chief information officer of the Cavaliers, Mike Conley, said during an interview that they will make this project an ongoing promotion. He added that the Cavs fans would be able to curate, build and display their NFT lockers in the future.

The press release stated that the upcoming NFTs would consist of digital jackets, sneakers, shirts. These NFTs could also evolve to provide a more immersive experience to the fans in the future. The fans who attend the home games will be able to receive digital collectibles issued in the game.
