The interest was driven by the latest buzz that was generated around the meme cryptocurrency called Dogecoin on Twitter. In a recent interview, Osaka said that she was talking to her agent about cryptocurrencies after reading about Dogecoin on Twitter. It was after she did a little research that she felt that crypto would be something interesting that might gain even more traction in the future.
Besides this, the Grand Slam champion has also launched a second round of non-fungible token (NFT) offerings. This offering is a Preseason Access Pass NFT Collection. The VIP access holders of this collection will get the first Naomi Osaka NFT which will be a limited edition. This NFT collection has been launched on Autograph.io, which is an NFT platform that showcases collections from big names in entertainment, sports, and culture. The first NFT drop by Naomi Osaka was in April. It was a 6-piece NFT art collection which was called ‘The Colors of Naomi Osaka’. According to the news reports, the collection was able to raise more than $600,000 for The Play Academy, which is the foundation opened by Naomi Osaka.
In a recent interview, Osaka said that since the career of athletes is not very long it is important to be smart. This is the reason why she keeps herself open to any new opportunities her agent tells her about it. Osaka further added that she is not afraid to fail in the process either as it gives her an opportunity to learn why it did not work out.
