New York Yankees players can now convert their salary into Bitcoin.

Baseball players of the New York Yankees team can now convert a part of their salary into Bitcoin. This is being made possible through a multi-year partnership with NYDIG, which is an investment company.

Kelly Brewster, chief marketing officer at NYDIG, said they are proud to collaborate with the hometown team and an iconic sports franchise – the Yankees. He highlighted that the company is furthering its mission of bringing Bitcoin to all. Brewster tweeted that by using NYDIG’s Bitcoin Savings Plan, employees of the organization will be able to allocate a portion of their paycheck to Bitcoin. NYDIG says the best part is that customers don’t have to pay any transaction fees.

Brewster pointed out that the company is committed to helping its clients realize the full potential of Bitcoin while providing the service and standards that have made NYDIG’s name synonymous with trust. NYDIG, in its recent research, highlighted that 36% of employees under the age of 30 would be interested in allocating a portion of their pay to Bitcoin. The research outlined that nearly one in three employees, who were surveyed, said if they had to choose between two identical jobs at different employers, they would prefer an employer that offers a Bitcoin option.

Aryn Sobo, Yankees Vice President, said they are always looking for innovative ways to expand and improve their employee experience. He shared that NYDIG made it easy to add the popular cryptocurrency to the team’s roster of benefits. The Yankees look forward to leveraging the NYDIG platform to offer the opportunity to its employees.
