One eatery in New York City claims that it will exclusively serve NFT holders

Many people understand and appreciate the value of NFTs. Not all take it as far as one restaurant in New York did. Flyfish Club is a restaurant from the Gary Vaynerchuck owned hospitality company VCR Group. The restaurant will launch in 2023 but is already offering its membership on the blockchain. According to the restaurant’s Twitter post, it is a member-only exclusive club where membership is given through NFTs. People who wish to be a member of the Flyfish Club have to purchase the NFT, and only then can they enter its premises. It is an innovative move, considering the unpopularity of NFTs in the mainstream. However, Gary Vee and his associates planned this restaurant as a crypto-aware space for like-minded people. While the exact date of opening is not yet mentioned, it will certainly be at some point in 2023.

According to a lot of people, bringing NFTs to the world of hospitality is a smart move. As the hospitality industry already has a substantial luxury section, it is only natural to bring NFTs to the picture. Many people would also be interested in buying the NFT and not just buying the membership. Gary Vee, being one of the most prominent entrepreneurs of our time, has taken such visionary decisions in the past as well. However, it is too soon to speak about the success or failure of Flyfish Club. Once the restaurant goes live and running, the effectiveness of the move will be clear.
