Onecoin’s Ruja Ignatova is being pursued by the Greek police.

The Greek police have made attempts recently to find Ruja Ignatova. She is the founder of the pyramid scheme Onecoin. The Greek Daily reported that investigators were acting on intelligence. This intelligence suggested that Ignatova was still in the country. She is also known as the ‘cryptoqueen’. She was last seen while she was boarding a plane to Greece, many years back.

Athenian Authorities Try To Find ‘Cryptoqueen’ Who Disappeared In Greece

Greece is the latest chapter in the story of searching for Ignatova. Greece is believed to be the last place she went to, before she disappeared five years back. She has been missing since the 25th of October, 2017. That was when she took a flight from Ryanair, that was headed towards Athens. The flight was from Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Now, the Interpol, the Europol, as well as the FBI are looking for her. This is as she misappropriated around $4 billion from her investors. Kathimerini, a local newspaper, reported that the Hellenic Police had received local and international intelligence. This intelligence suggested that Ignatova could be found in Greece, and that she was also holding meetings with specific people.

Just a month back, the Hellenic Police launched a special operation in order to detain her. They searched actively, however they could not confirm that they had found her. According to the police sourced or Kathimerini, there are around a dozen countries that are working together to pinpoint where she can be found.
