Portugal is gradually establishing itself as a ‘haven’ for European Bitcoiners.

As it is a well-known fact around the world that Switzerland dominates the limelight of being the crypto-friendly jurisdiction in Europe. And now Portugal has taken the same steps as Switzerland in the crypto market. The country, not just provides the best life for the bitcoin user but also provides an enticing fiscal environment along with a flourishing bitcoin community.

The Bitcoin Family moved to Portugal recently and told Cointelegraph in an interview that they learned there was nothing more to move than trying 300 days of sunshine with cheap coffee.

The husband and father of the Bitcoin Family, Didi Taihuttu, had a talk with Cointelegraph for the first time six years ago. He climbed into crypto back in 2016, post selling all the family possessions to go all in bitcoin (BTC).

With his flamboyant personality, Didi Taihuttu manages to catch all the attention. Now he’s planning to take on the Portugal bitcoin beach and create a bitcoin community. This will make pro-Bitcoin Portugal go high and will get support by the crypto-friendly cost of living and tax laws.

Portugal became crypto-friendly six years ago. A law by the Portuguese tax authority ruled in 2016, and because cryptocurrency was not considered monetary currency. Which made them not legal tender in the country which resulted in making it non-taxable.

Didi Taihuttu says that the bitcoin community has already bloomed in the country. SAys he knows there are many bitcoins in Portugal but unlike me they are anonymous. They are spending their money on the property. They are investing their bitcoins everywhere.
