Rusk Media is an India-based digital entertainment firm targeting the GenZ audience. In an extended funding round series A, it has raised about $9.5 million to launch its blockchain-based gaming platform. The funding round was led by DAOL Investment (Seoul-based) as also Audacity Ventures. The existing investors in this round were InfoEdge Ventures, Survam Partners, and Mistry Ventures. In three years, Rusk Media raised around $12 million. NODWIN Gaming and Nazara Games are their investors. This company based in New Delhi is quite popular – social channel IPs, monthly views of 500 million and shows on various OTT platforms.

Chihoon Yoon (Partner, DAOL Investment) is also participating in the present round as a co-lead investor. Chihoon stated that as an investor from Korea they see a lot of potential for premium content that is generated locally in addition to the strong IPs. He also indicated that they believe that this firm, with its IP-led gaming launch and IPs plans, is in a position to be a powerhouse of entertainment!

Mayank Yadav (CEO, Rusk Media), stated that Rusk Media has a two-fold future plan: to scale content via IPs with various OTT partners in India as well as globally with Playground. He also added that developing this gaming platform will help game developers not just create but also publish games. Blockchain technology will be leveraged by making use of its game developer application.

Rusk Media, with its forthcoming UGC gaming platform, developments, as well as acquired capital, is focused on delivering its promise – to disrupt the whole entertainment ecosystem!
