The Associated Press is planning to launch the NFT Marketplace

The Associated Press (AP) which was founded in 1846 is a non-profit news agency. Finally, with the evolving world, they have developed, and they have planned to launch the NFT marketplace. The Associated Press is a 175-year-old news cooperative that will use the Polygon blockchain network to build the NFT marketplace. It will be beneficial for people as NFT holders will be able to collect the agency’s photojournalism.

When will NFT marketplace by AP launch?

The director of blockchain and data licensing of AP, Dwayne Desaulniers comments that the prize-winning images from AP’s photojournalist will be part of the NFT marketplace. According to him, the NFT holders of AP will get a chance to receive original metadata relating to Pulitzer Prize-winning images. Each NFT will consist of all details including location, time, date, technical settings, equipment, and other specific detail used to shoot the image. Associated Press can be proud of their photographers as all the photographers have worked exceptionally well to produce flawless and gripping images through the world’s best stories.

It is reported that the NFT marketplace based on Polygon by Associated Press will release it on January 31, 2022. The NFT holders can sell their NFT in the secondary market. Also, it is not difficult to purchase as you can use a credit card or cryptocurrency to make the payment and purchase AP’s NFT. This blockchain of Polygon is considered to be environmentally friendly unlike other blockchain which are currently in the market as claimed by AP.
