The Total Number of Global Crypto ATMs Rises Over 39,000.

The number of cryptocurrencies dispersing Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) installed globally reached a new record high of over 39,000. According to the data provided by Coinatmradar.com, there are 39,015 crypto ATMs operating in 78 countries around the world as of now.

In January 2017, there were only 969 cryptocurrency ATMs around different parts of the globe. But thanks to the tremendous popularity and growth of the crypto industry, the number reached the 10K mark in September 2020. From 969 ATMs in 2017 to over 39,000 crypto ATMs today, the world has witnessed a massive rise of almost 4000% in cryptocurrency ATM installation which is no small feat by any means!

Coming to distribution, North America tops the list of countries/ regions with the highest number of digital currently dispersing ATMs. North America own almost 95.1% of the total number of crypto ATMs installed globally. With 3.8% of the total number of ATMs operating around the world, Europe is the second-runner up.

The remaining 1.1% of the global cryptocurrencies dispersing Automated Teller Machines are distributed amongst the other countries of the world.

As far as the types of coins go, out of 39,015 automated machines, 39,000 of them support Bitcoin. On the other hand, Ethereum or Ether is supported by 29,326 of them. The 39,015 global crypto ATMs also comprise 33,058 machines that fully-support Altcoins. Litecoin is supported by 32,468 of them while 16,132 crypto ATMs support Dogecoin.

Lightning BTC remains the least supported digital currency as out of the 39,015 crypto ATMs only 112 support it.
