Recently, the National Bank of Ukraine took to LinkedIn to promote the job opening for a blockchain developer. Vladimir Nagornyuk, the director of the IT department at NBU, was responsible for posting the ad.
The ad lists what the monetary authority of Ukraine is looking for. The person they hire should be capable of dealing with the development, modification, as well as implementation of the infrastructure services. They should also be capable of dealing with distributed systems. In addition to this, the job posting also mentions smart contracts, as well as competency in Hyperledger, to get the job.
Ukraine Looks for Blockchain Developer
The search for a blockchain developer comes in the wake of other news related to cryptocurrency from the country. This is due to the CBDC project, also known as e-hryvnia.
Oleksandr Bornyakov, the deputy minister of digital transformation in Ukraine, revealed last week that the pilot for e-hryvnia had already begun.
NBU and CBDC
Since 2016, NBU had already started thinking about a central bank currency that was digital. It wasn’t until two years later that retail payments made using blockchain started. Work on the project increased pace recently, with the adoption of a law that provided a regulatory framework when it came to digital assets.
This is being done to improve the nation’s development and progress when it comes to cryptocurrency. To that end, the central bank of the country is looking to hire a blockchain developer using LinkedIn.
