Women investors are growing across Indian crypto exchanges.

The finance world is often seen to be one that is dominated by men. However, cryptocurrency exchanges have witnessed a growing number of women investing in it, over the years. This could be an indication that female investors are now shifting from investing in gold, to investing in cryptocurrency.

Now, female entrepreneurs are also gaining renown in the cryptocurrency industry. This is as the industry is so far free of inequalities.

Data that was shared by CoinSwitch, a crypto exchange, showed that between January of 2021 and 2022, there was almost a 500% spike. This was when it came to the number women who registered in the user base.

Bitay is another crypto exchange that saw more women investing, going so far as to call it a trend that is constant. They also added that the number of women Investors were more in cities like Bengaluru, Delhi NCR, as well as Mumbai.

WazirX also found that the number of women investing has increased this year compared to the last. Their end report for 2021 showed that women favored Bitcoin while men opted for Shiba Inu.

According to experts, it’s the increasing awareness around technology as well as the penetration of internet across the country, that are contributing to the rise of crypto women. Usually, women used to invest in silver or gold, but with time, this trend has changed. Women who are younger are now turning to assets that are digital, like cryptocurrencies.
