Bitcoin (BTC $104,108.77) has significantly increased its previous losses and is already down over 4% in the last day to $103,900, as it appears that Israeli forces have bombed targets in Tehran, the Iranian capital.
Al-Jazeera later confirmed that explosions were heard in Tehran, but Axios first claimed, using anonymous sources, that Israel had carried out an attack within Iranian airspace.
Hours earlier, the International Atomic Energy Agency declared that Iran was breaking enriched uranium regulations for the first time in twenty years.
According to NBC, Israel was thinking about launching a strike in retaliation. The United States would rather have a deal with Iran than a war, President Donald Trump told reporters, adding that a strike might spark a “massive conflict.”
The chances of Israeli action against Iran by July were put at less than 30 cents, leaving gamblers uncertain about the possibility of a strike occurring on Polymarket.
