Consensus 2026, CoinDesk’s flagship conference, was held from 5 to 7 May at the Miami Beach Convention Center. What happened
The biggest news of the week came from the organiser’s own parent company. On the opening day, Bullish, which owns CoinDesk, announced a $4.2 billion deal to acquire the transfer agent Equiniti, describing the combination as a global transfer agent for tokenised securities. Bullish CEO Tom Farley and Equiniti CEO Dan Kramer discussed the deal on CoinDesk Live at the conference minutes after it went out.
Why it mattered
The Equiniti deal set the tone for a conference where tokenised securities and the plumbing behind them were a central theme. Consensus returns to Miami Beach from 4 to 6 May 2027.
