What happened
Indonesia’s financial regulator was the headline. Adi Budiarso of the OJK said the country had 22.93 million digital-asset accounts as of July 2026, that the OJK is drafting stablecoin rules in coordination with Bank Indonesia, and that a tokenisation framework is being prepared after sandbox tests. Mukhamad Misbakhun, who chairs parliament’s finance committee, and Deputy Investment Minister Todotua Pasaribu also spoke.
